I wanted to thank all of our parents who came along to parents evening tonight and last night, it was good to see so many of you too. If however , you were unable to come along, do remember that I am around most of the time and that your child's class teacher is available one night after school every week as well as additional times as required.
We look forward to seeing you all again soon and hope that you all make it to our opening ceremony for the new classrooms and the Christmas performance, which doesn't seem that far away now !
It was great to hear that something different is happening regarding Christmas shows this year, however we feel a bit disapointed as their is no evenig shows. I understand the children get tired along with the teachers and it takes a lot of time to organise such event. As a family we feel a little sadden by the fact only 1 member may be able to attend one of the shows when normaly there is about 6 of us. This will be due to working committments and some parents will find it difficult to get time of work leading up to the Christma holidays and self employed workers do not get paid for time off and it is not always easy getting Monday or Tuesday afternoons off. Plus other siblings will not be able to attend as they will be at school and I know some including my older son are disapointed that they are unable to attend. I have spoken to some parents who feel the same but hey ho if the school wish to try something new then be it, but some seat may not be sold, well from my family anyway.
